project overview

The Personal Finance Society National Conference 2025 is one of the most significant events in the financial planning industry, bringing together both existing and prospective clients from across the sector. With the 2025 conference theme Mind the Gap, my brief was to create a high-impact stand experience for Iress that would attract new prospects while reinforcing confidence and excitement amongst existing customers.

Concept Development

To create a more memorable and cohesive experience, I proposed extending the creative world established in the previous NPS campaign into a fully immersive physical environment. Inspired by the London Underground, the stand transformed the campaign messaging into a recognisable spatial experience that connected brand storytelling with the conference theme. This approach created continuity between digital campaign activity and the live event, helping the stand feel more engaging, distinctive and emotionally resonant within a crowded exhibition space.

Design Execution & Delivery

In order to gain stakeholder approval and align teams around the vision, I began by producing early sketches to establish both the spatial logic and visual direction of the stand. I then developed a full 3D environment in Blender, creating detailed renders that allowed stakeholders to experience the concept and provide feedback before any external production resource was committed. Although the stand itself was ultimately built by an external agency, producing the complete 3D model internally helped streamline communication, reduce unnecessary costs and accelerate the approval process while ensuring the final execution remained closely aligned to the original creative vision.
