MES2024

project overview

The MES 2024 Survey was an industry research report developed following the transition of Iress’ mortgage, sourcing and originations platform to Finova. With the new parent brand still in development, the project required a fast turnaround solution that could support the launch of the annual survey while remaining visually separate from both existing brands.

Creative Direction

I was tasked with creating a temporary visual identity for the report that could function as a standalone brand during the transition period. The challenge was to design something professional, modern and credible within a tight timeframe, while ensuring the survey still felt aligned with the expectations of the financial and mortgage industry audience. This included developing the report design system, typography, colour palette and supporting visual assets used across both digital and presentation formats.

Creating a Transition Brand

The project focused on building a flexible “bridge” brand that could effectively support the survey launch without conflicting with the future direction of the new company identity. By creating a clean and adaptable visual system, the final outcome gave the report its own recognisable presence while helping maintain continuity during a significant period of organisational change.
